Hurstville Central Plaza
The recently completed Hurstville Central Plaza provides a new vibrant meeting place, promoting well-being and celebrating the community’s diverse cultural heritage. It improves street-level connectivity between Hurstville train station, Westfield Shopping Centre and Hurstville Transport Interchange whilst encouraging regeneration and activation from adjoining properties.
The design adheres to Georges River Council’s Vision for Hurstville, which is to create an ‘evolving city which promotes a sustainable and safe community that connects people and places, and celebrates diversity.’
A key challenge addressed in the designs is accommodate the significant level change occurring over the site area, which was used to add character to the space.
