GroupGSA, working for El Grande, a Hong Kong Based owner operator, provided the concept, detailed design and site services for the new Grappa’s restaurant in the highly regarded Tai Koo Li development in Chengdu.
Working closely with both the client and contractor, GroupGSA developed an interior design proposal that bridged the modern contemporary design of Tai Koo Li and an approprite Italian dining experience.
Facing the entrance, the bar and inside-outside seating draws customers into the restaurant. A classic stone-fired pizza oven placed next to a decorative entrance wall then guides diners into the restaurant. The main dining area utilises contemporary furniture and fittings, with a backdrop of murals depicting more traditional Italian scenes. Banquet seating to the rear then provides a more intimate dining space. An external terrace is located at the rear, facing the historic Daci Temple.
