BURLEIGH WATERS BRANCH LIBRARY REFURBISHMENT
BURLEIGH WATERS, QLD
Burleigh Waters Library embarked on a refurbishment of the existing 1980s semi-colonial style building and City of Gold Council engaged GroupGSA to provide the interior design services for the upgrade of the interior environment..
The objective was to create spaces that are welcoming and comfortable (a community lounge) where customers feel ownership over the space; and their branch library is valuable to the community and part of an innovative and progressive library service.
The result is a contemporary interior environment that is inviting to all ages. It is functional, durable, and engaging with the use of a bold and colourful colour palette. The refurbished Library is a compelling and stimulating space that offers flexibility for a variety of community uses as well as a place of learning, research, discovery and reflection• We cleverly maximise the impact and made an impression within a limited budget. All furniture and fixtures was child-friendly, from local suppliers and specified in sustainable, eco-friendly products materials and finishes.
